A simple cure for “stuck”

Here is a coaching pro-tip for your week (I’m using this one myself!):

We often wait for clarity before we take a step. We think we need to "figure it out" before we move. But more often than not, clarity only comes after we take the step.

When I’m coaching clients on their 90-day goals, I see the brain offer a lot of excuses. Our brains are wired for survival and comfort; they love to offer "confusion" as a way to keep us from doing something new or hard. The brain loves confusion because then it doesn't have to do anything!

The fastest way out of that fog? Do something.

My challenge for you: The next time your brain says, "I'm too confused to decide," commit to just 5 minutes of action.

  • Cleaning? Set a timer and toss 5 things.

  • Fitness? Do a 5-minute stretch.

  • Business? Open the laptop and type one paragraph.

Action creates momentum. That first 5 minutes often turns into 30, but even if it doesn't, you’ll feel better simply because you moved.

What is your brain calling "confusing" today? How could 5 minutes of action help?
